Summer Shoes - Wedges Edition

I bet by now you have noticed one thing:  I love shoes.  Most of my friends would be rolling their eyes now since I am stating the obvious.  Now, back on topic.  In the summer time, the best shoes are definitely wedge sandals.  They are comfortable and still give the illusion of having long, lean legs.  What woman doesn't love long, lean legs?  Well...men love that too, but that's a totally different story.  I digress...

The following are some of my finds online, priced from low to high.



Dolce Vita for Target Rope Wedge Sandals in Nude

Get it at Target for $29.99

Dolce Vitas are usually over $100 per pair.  In Dolce Vita's collaboration with Target, you can get the look for less!  Nude sandals will blend in with your legs and make it look mile-long.  Wear it with shorts to enhance the effect.


Tory Burch Lace Up Wedge

Get it at Bergdorf Goodman for $99

These Tory Burch Wedges come in White and Olive.  The lace gives off the impression that it's Tory's summer version of a bootie...which is a trend that is not going away soon.  These are even better when it's on sale at Bergdorf Goodman for $99.  

Aldo Dyle Wedge Sandal

Get it at Aldo for $100

I first saw this on another awesome blog Refinery29 where they did a slide show of their staff's shoes.  This pair from Aldo is affordable and has nice details on it.  The two tone platform along with the braided trim looks a lot more expensive than it really is.  Comes in tan and white.  The colors will carry you all through summer.

Paloma Barcelo Velati leather wedge sandal

Get it at Net-a-Porter for $315

I have actually already finished writing this post, but then I saw this pair of Paloma Barcelo leather wedge sandals on Net-a-Porter and I must add it to the post.  Love the contrast between the navy and tan leather.  The rope trim on the platform breaks up the platform nicely.  Pair it with a pair of colored pants or white shorts as they did on the website for a chic relaxed look.

Miu Miu Stitched Platform Wedge

Get it at Saks for $405.99

Shoes with a lot of detail always appeal to me...whether it be stitching or studs.  The white stitching on this Miu Miu wedge is doing a great job of giving dimension to the blue leather and also balancing the darker colors.  The other thing I love about this wedge is the strips of blue that cover the platform, not like the normal completely exposed platform or completely covered platform.  Another solid pair of shoes from Miu Miu.

Dior 'Tahiti Platform Wedge Sandal

Get it at Nordstrom for $504.90

My absolute favorite pair of wedges this summer is this pair of Dior 'Tahiti' wedge sandals.  I love them so much that that it deserves two pictures.  The bright red/orange combo is so vibrant and looks great paired with the espadrilles.  The red rope laces around the ankle is just sexy.  One word, HOT.

Yves Saint Laurent 'Baobabo' Python Platform Sandal

Get it at Nordstrom for $1189.90

Okay okay, I don't expect us to be able to rock this at the beach, but this pair of YSL python wedges is so intriguing to look at.  It has a huge platform but dainty straps.  It has a cutout in the middle of the platform so it is actually a wedge/heel combo.  The python makes this shoe that much more exotic.  I can definitely see someone like Kim Kardashian rocking these shoes!
